Our community is constantly inundated with calls to join the latest revolution or most recent fad. At Mifal Chok L’Yisroel, our mission is quite different. For hundreds of years, Jews of all stripes joined in the daily learning of Chok L’Yisroel. We aim to bring about a resurgence in this venerable practice by bringing awareness to the significance of this custom and facilitating the availability of shiurim and necessary seforim. With Hashem’s help, we hope to continue being a positive force in the renewed enthusiasm surrounding the daily learning of Chok L’Yisroel.
Chok is not just a bit of everything, it IS everything
Before there was Daf Yomi or any similar programs, there was Chok L’Yisroel. For centuries, Chok L’Yisroel and its little snippets of Torah were the glue that kept the communities of Klal Yisroel bound as one.
In our hyper-connected world, where we don’t lack for distractions and divisions, it is imperative upon us to revive this revered custom. Over the last few years, many Jews have awoken to the special power of learning Chok. We are proud to have been a part of this tremendous rebirth.
A Chok Shiur a day keeps the problems away
The custom of learning Chok L’Yisroel has been ascribed to the holy Ariz”l. For hundreds of years, Jews of all backgrounds considered this to be their direct connection to the Torah. It is unsurprising then that this practice has become known as a vessel to bring about an abundance of blessings and salvation to its learners. Many Gedolim and Tzaddikim have been known to encourage the learning of Chok as a way to merit Yeshuos for those in need. In today’s troubling times, we are still privileged to see these promises fulfilled.
